New Google Satellite maps

Google has implemented a new map system based on satellite imagery so you can see anything you want on the planet from a birds eye view.

Go to googles map page with the link below and then click on the satellite text link in the upper right of the page.
Then enter an address in the search field. you can zoom in or drag across or zoom way out to see the whole planet. It's pretty cool.

I only tried entering US based addresses so i don't know if they have all the satellite images for other countries too.

http://maps.google.com/maps

these maps seems more up to date and comprehensive than MicroSoft's Terra Server system.

Every now and then, I will walk outside and flip the bird to the sky, just for this reason. And sure enough, you can see me in the sat image.

I like this better than the microsoft, except they don't make it easy to enter lat and long, but since it is in beta, maybe that is coming. Seems to be more responsive than Terra-Micro-Viewer.
Very cool

thats because the United States of America is the Greatest Country in the world. (as I am sure you have heard over and over again)

But take heart, there is a guy in a hot air balloon and a digital camera over your place right now. (has low light capability as it is dark in UK now)
