NT20 is not being its usual, cheerful self tonight. I shall therefore get into my company-paid German luxury car and make my way to the datacentre, where I will threaten it with various power tools. Please stand by.

Entered datacentre. Wrestled token beast from Greek mythology. Identified cause of outage as malfunctioning (sticking) CPU fan. Replaced CPU fan. Wrestled token demon from Lovecraftian mythos. Escaped from datacentre with only minor injuries.

Server pronounced operational at 0324 LT/0724 UTC.

Ladas, jmbeach, were a product of Soviet automobile manufacturing prowess. Not quite as bad as the Trabant but pretty damn close to a Yugo. Of course they never made it to the US market, but they were exported to the rest of the world where they were highly competitive at the low end of the price and reliability spectrum.

Sorry the rest of the world had to get them. Well, I suppose we did get the Yugo, so we've all suffered

Glad to hear you've got a sense of humor at 4am. Sucks to be you

Can't believe no-ones thought to suggest this...

Wasn't the body made of plastic on the Trabant?

Should be coming backup now, seems there was a bois issue with it around 6PM dave replaced the fans in it when he had it open as it had some of the old xeon fans we had issues with thinking that may of been the issue. But it seems the bois freaked out or something...

I see it back online now so he should be about done. Maybe one more reboot to make sure the bois is good to go.
