Urchin 5 is here?

Hey,

$2.50 that's great . . . thanks

Tried to add it to my service domain. Noticed control panel says Urchin 4. I added it to the plan anyway. Went to turn it on and got an internal error.

Anyway to change the control panel to say Urchin 5?

Still working out the bugs?

Thanks so much for all that you do.

Chris

http://matrixwebhosting.net/forum/sh...&threadid=5476

"Yea I was thinking maybe one free so that you can at least demo it or something if you want. Urchin5 will be the one we support. Yea I would not let end users know till we have it up an running for you guys.."

Doesn't that just pi** you off. I hate when that happens. It worked fine earlier. Happens to me all the time.

None the less, really, thanks for the $2.50. That's perfect.

OMG you have to be kidding me right.. Some random password out of the blue.. OMG they may see my stats.. Some hacker wanting to hack your stats to see how many hits you had.. Hmm, I would say they might have better things todo..

Oh yea and BTW Mr Smart a$$ as always I can add SSL to the urchin server if I want or need to from what urchin is telling me. But thanks for asking..

Well i guess I need to go try it, esp since it is a random password, no loss in trying it for sure.

It's not a random password. The urchin pass is your account's password unless you change it (does not work from the cp yet).

And Brad, don't underestimate the value of stats....Mine are certainly not worth a lot, but stats can be sold for a lot of money, just like a DB of customers. It's not hackers that we are afraid of most of the time (unsecure apps and pop), it's of our competition. Just like the US use Echelon to steal secrets to get a competitive edge on some deals (Boeing vs Airbus). I don't like sniffers.

I can't market Urchin as a great tool to study customers' habits and say "Oh yes, everybody can see that info too".

Nothing is uncrackable, but basic protection should always be applied.

I know you can't do much because Hsphere's shared ssl does not work and so you have to use one of your cert. I just thought Urchin stats would be installed in a dir just like webalizer.

somereselelr, I changed the pass quite easily, and I made it random.

Yes, from urchin's panel you can do that, but I had to log in with my main accounts password at first since the "change password" feature is broken in the cp (unless it was fixed in the meantime ).
