Question Looking to move websites to Matrix

I am currently working with six different websites that are on a virtual server with another company. I am tired of playing server admin and ready to focus on development.

So far Votech is looking very good but I do have some questions:

I have six websites and would like to be able to give each of them an IP addresses if they require one. Currently only one websites needs one for SSL. Which plan would be best for this?

I will need my own nameservers. Which plan would be best for this?

Allowing clients to manage their own email is not a requirement but it would be nice.

I would like to offer either unix hosting or NT. Is this possible?

Any customers care to chime in on the service they receive?

Thanks!!
-SJC

PS>> I am using under 300mb and <2gb bandwidth.

All Hsphere reseller accounts allow you to offer NT and Unix hosting. They also allow you to have your own nameservers.

Yeah, your best bet is to start with an HSphere Cypher plan - http://www.matrixreseller.com/plans/index.php - you'll get everything you say you need, with plenty of room to grow.

So far, this is the best host I've found (other than one that I was paying $30/month for, for a single domain and not that much storage), and I've been playing the hosting musical chairs game for several years now.

So long as you're cool with being in a shared environment you should be fine. Just be sure that your end customers know that machines aren't perfect, and have a good 'terms of service' agreement set forth that they understand. Never promise 100% uptime, unless you're willing to take care of clients when they complain about it.

Hi there sjcarr.

Have a look at the Cypher plan (http://www.matrixreseller.com/plans/index.php). I think it's perfectly in line with what you want.

As far as service goes, there are a few of us that harass them occasionally, but from everything I've seen since I've been with them, these guys (and gals) really take care of their customers. They have their odd problem, but they're pretty up-front about them, whereas most other providers that I've seen tend to avoid confirming bugs/mistakes/downtime etc.

Overall, I'd say they're very worthy of your business. Best of luck whichever way you decide to go. Take care...
