Mail8 - More mail goodness
Mail8 is experiencing some problems, we are looking into the cause and do not currently have any more information. Once we know what the problem is we will update this thread.

We ran a manual fsck and it seems to be staying up. Needless to say we will be keeping an eye on it.

OMG there seems to always be problems with email how many more clients do we have to loose before problems are fixed.

We are on mostly new hardware - there is not much in the logs to indicate what the problem is.
I agree - I'm fairly tired of mail related problems myself You should have seen our ticket queue yesterday! |

One last option - if this does not work the box is getting rebuilt.

Yes, we have a spare box however it has to be installed and set up. Trust me, we are working as fast as we can to get this issue fixed.

Problems. Nobody likes them but here is the point...hosting here is susposed to aid in making me money not costing me clients.
Not blaming admin or the techs but hopefully something will be learned from all this debacle. Hopefully faster action so that the problems you have on your end will not become problems for me on my end. After all, in essence this is what I pay for.

I don't think it is a hardware problem anymore. If it is hardware it is a drive. I am going to try and narrow down the problem, but I will wait until later tonight. As long as the box stays up I am not going to fool with it for awhile.
Edit - The box may still have to be rebuilt, but as long as it stays up the rebuild would cause minimal downtime. |

Please if you can do it when in Europa is not after 9 AM o'clock (so before your 03:00 AM).... if not I'll loose more money. :-!

Ballyhoo: We were at the datacenter less than an hour after the first time it rebooted, just after we realized it was not an isolated event. We have been working on it ever since. I'm not really sure what else you are asking for. |
