Question Hsphere : usage based versus allocated disk space

We all know that Hsphere can be configured to manage space based on usage and not allocation.

I first thought that Vortech was not allowing this because they were afraid of things going out of control (They've posted about it in these forums).

But seeing that Cpanel offers it right out of the box, I don't see why we, Hsphere users, should be penalized

What do you think?

i certainly think it would make it easier to sell plans, and to my mind the easier it is for resellers to sell, the better for Matrix in the long run.
btw somereseller are u swiss german, swiss french, swiss italian or someother variety - i only ask as i've spent the last 4 years living with a swiss french osteopath from greyerre (i'm not sure i'm even spelling it right... the cheesey place!)

somereseller,

As i said in the other post.. H-Sphere has never been tested in usage still on a system as large as ours.. We are not going to switch over till Psoft is 100% sure it will not make one big mess for us. We are not being penalized you signed up under the allocation rule so if we add it at any point it will just be a bouns on to what you have.

I have no ETA of when this may be turned on or if it will any time soon. We are trying to get H-Sphere Very Very stable before we go and make any big changes like this.

thx admin, that poll was started before your answer on the other thread.

I really cannot understand how a company like PSoft can release beta software and advertise it as being a great system. What's the point of releasing a feature if we cannot use it. Why don't they just remove it then?

The billing system has been buggy from the start and we're still forced to use it ;P

Penalized in the sense that it's a disadvantage for Hsphere users compared to what the ones from Cpanel get, we all know what we signed up for.

ramjet, I speak french, I'm about 35 minutes away from Gruyère . They make great cheese, but above all great "double cream" that you eat with meringues (in a hot tub with beautiful ephebes or was that in California? don't remember well ) . They are located at the start of the Alps. I live by the lake, warmer and more civilized (high tech basin)
