UK Based hosting providers are expensive?

Hi everybody,

I have a fair few UK business customers whom I supply marketing and web solution services to. I was so fed up with over priced UK based hosting providers who's service and customer response was rubbish at best - that I moved all of my hosting business over to Vortech in the USA. I am extremely happy with Vortech and if things continue as they are... do not see me ever leaving them.

The reason for this post, is that I am wondering if any of you have moved hosting providers out of the UK to another location in the world to get better pricing and/or service from your provider? I am keen to hear your comments and experiences as I now have an issue with Google on how they view moving hosting to other countries (See other thread "Organised Petition - Google Local Search criteria").... many thanks.........
