Have You seen Me?
This template looks so familiar but I'm having a hard time finding any live examples. Does anyone know any website that are laid out like this, particularly the use of the two curves at the top, joining the left side navigation.
![]() The red scribbles are mine. Color and text have been altered to protect the innocent. There is a reward of 1,000 "Who's Line Is It Anyway Points" for the person that finds the most. Thanks. Mike |

not sure if this is an attempt to lure out a site design thief or not. If it is, this is not a very unique layout. With that said, i am almost certain we have not created any exactly like this though. The curve concept creates some akward voids if you are using straight table layouts for the design.
I am almost certain this is a common template for simple cms apps or blog type sites.

Maybe they want to use it as a promotion tool? Vague post.

Okay, a little more explanation.
I took over maintenance of a website about a year ago and I was hoping to get the job doing a much needed redesign. The site owners are going through a re-branding and recently updated all their print material. They went back to the expensive PRINT design company for the website, and this is what they got. Their print material is amazing so I was really disappointed when I saw this. I think it’s very generic and has that déjà vu, 1998 feeling to it but I would like examples to show the client that he isn’t getting his moneys worth – and he should hire me : ) . I’m currently working on an alternate design to pitch to them. It looks so generic I thought that it would be easy to find other examples. |

try looking around some of the older templates sites like boxedart.com .. I've definitely seen that double curve design in some free template packs I got from somewhere before though.

Sequill, sounds like you are trying to show your client the wrong thing. Don't make the other guy look bad. You just need to look better. If they can't see the difference then don't waste your time. Many people who want web sites can't tell good ones from bad ones or don't care. You have to be careful putting too much effort in for something that might not pay off. That is just business reality. I often get asked for detailed quotes on things that some people have no intention of spending the money on. So you learn how to deal with these situations. My 2c anyway.

Mresell, I think you are right. I'll be rebuilding it anyway, so it'll be easy to redesign the templates when they realize their "mistake"
On to bigger and better things . |
