Easyapps?

Also i think Hsphere 2.5 is out now....

And therefore my second Qeustion, will be get Exchange hosting?

We will not be installing EasyApps until PSoft puts a working update option in. Unpatched software is bad enough now with only two H-Sphere installed apps.

H-Sphere 2.5 is out, but there have been many reports of major issues with the upgrade. As usual, we will hang back until at least the second official patch has been released.

Exchange hosting...god I hope not.

all those easy app, fantastico, stuff are great for ease of install use, but they are absolutely the worst for upgrades and other securty issues because they never keep them up to date enough.

totally agree. if they would develop a forced upgrade button for each script, that te host could force, it would be a vast improvement.

We have found some ways we might be able to get around not having the upgrade option. They store all the info in the database and it could be done, so when we go to 2.5 we might test it out if we can automate it our self to email the reseller about his account or customer account with an out dated app. But this seems silly when psoft could do it better since they could just add it in to there code. I am trying to get them to do something with it.

The way it stands now it would open us all up to being hacked even if you upgrade the app it does not mean the next 100 people will.

We see it all the time with phpbb.

Yeah since hsphere is a control panel. It's purpose is to "control" these options. Shouldn't be rocket science. This is their product. Not like they have some fast paced dev cycle.
