We Know....

Some nice hacker has decided to take ownership of Cpanel2.

It is now on its way back to the office.

Jeepers - I thought the box had been secured after the last round (with the ssh issue). Already lost a ton of clients from the last episode... any ideas on when it'll be back up?

We are working on it at the moment. The bootloader was damaged. If we can fix that quickly then we might be able to get it back up in a few minutes.

Techs are almost done, if you have not moved I recomend it. Yet again i can't say this any other way, CPANEL is insecure. Cpanel AS fully updated and CPanel set to auto update. So CPanel blaming us again would be CRAP just like before.

If your on a cpanel box MOVE MOVE MOVE to H-Sphere so your sites will be secure and work. I can't stress this enough.

I have begun the migration, but yesterday I was getting a call every half hour from my first transferred user, web mail was inaccessible or so slow as to be almost useless.

Hope I am not out of the frying pan and into the fire.

CPanel2 is backup but will be slow for a bit as we check it over here in our ofifice before we take it back to the DC.

Mail and sites should be a bit faster on the H-Sphere cluster as the systems are much more under loaded as they are not trying to run all the services on one system like a CPanel server.
