Input on server Status Script
Maybe I missed something, but I never saw much more about the server status script, so I went out and found one I thought would work and have modified some things on it. There is still a little more to do, but yes, the script works it is not a mock-up. If a server is down there will be a red x.
you can see it at: http://status.landiserve.com I would like to know any comments you might have, or questions about how it works, I will do my best to explain it to you. |

I added a line to monitor port 12 on one of the unix boxes, this is just to show what it would look like if a real service/server was down. Port 12 shows a failure because it is a blocked port, this is of course intentional.
