How does the above code work if you have customers across all three of the servers?

The end mailserver is irrelevant becuase all customers have their server aliased the same way, always mail.customercomain

a week?? ...15 mins in Funam Mall is enough for me - its full of rude, unhelpful "IT sales" people. On the other hand Pantip Plaza in Bangkok makes Funan look like some corner store! Pantip has a zillion IT shops selling everything plus extremily pretty, friendly AND knowlegable staff. Only drawback is trying to see it all in one day! ![]() |

Sorry I came into the thread a little late, but I've been using what I think is a good idea that I thought I'd share...
In your DNS settings, setup an A record for something like atmail.yourdomain.com that points to 216.157.131.123, and replace the appropriate part of the HTML form's action property. Then when the login info is submitted, instead of 216.157.131.123 or webmail.hsphere.cc, you're transferred to what appears to be a different subdomain of your own site. Just one more way to look a little more "professional" to your customers. Enjoy! ![]() EDIT: Doh... Just realized aVex already kinda mentioned this idea. Well, at least it's here for those of you who missed it like I did the first time. ![]() Last edited by Curt : 07-03-2003 at 08:08 PM. |

yes that works, many of us have called it webmail.thedomain.com. Only thing to realize is when they logoff they go back to the default login script at webmail.thedomain.com

Maybe matrix would look into gadgetgal's script that would change it back to the original webmail.domain.com page. But only when you have time |

I have a custom @mail login page setup on my site which is easier than entering my domain everytime I goto mail.domain.com, although is there a way to have mail.domain.com go to my custom login page instead of the one located at http://216.157.131.123/index.pl? - or maybe I just don't understand how to do it the way mentioned above.
Thanks, ~ meta |
