The hard drive has been swapped in NT24 and the array is being rebuilt. It's running abnormally slow, so we've removed it from the network as the array is being rebuilt. We will let you know once it is back up.

NT24 and Ded01 are going to be going down for Raid Array repair.
Matt was able to get all of the rest fixed up this afternoon but these two boxes wanted to argue. I am going to be taking them down for a while and having a stern discussion with them.
This will happen at 9PM and should take 20 Minutes or so.

This is unavoidable. We do appologise, but we have lost enough of these HDs that we cannot risk the more extended downtime that completely rebuilding the server would cause. This is a preemptive measure to prevent this.

Ok. Final status report

The bad hard drives are now out of commission, and all the newer boxes are setup with the RAID on two brand new 18GB hard drives. We got lucky with NT24 as when we went to replace it, the 2nd drive was already totally bad, and the 1st drive had some bad sectors. Windows wouldn't remirror it, but we were able to Ghost the drive with no issues and add the second new drive and start mirroring.

We'll be going through some older boxes and adding 2nd drives and/or replacing the systems in the coming months.

All drives should carry a minimum 12 month warranty from manufacturers, surely you can RMA them?
