IP Migration

We are beginning the process of migrating the remainder of the IPs on our network to conform to our IP map. A small percentage of the allocated dedicated IPs will be affected.

The DNS records for affected domains will be updated and set to a new IP. Our web servers will continue to answer to both the old and new IPs for a period of 7 days. After that time, we will be removing the old IPs from the server.

The affected users will receive individual emails notifying them that their dedicated IPs are being migrated. The migration will be seamless for most users. Any domains that use their IP in their URLs will need to update their sites to use the new IP.

Note: The only IPs we are migrating at this time are web server IPs. If you are using the IP of a database server in your code, you do not need to update those at this time.

Does this mean you are going to email our customers to tell them this?

No, we do not contact our resellers' customers. If any of your customers' domains are affected, we will be sending the email notfication to you, the reseller.

If we are affected we should have been notified correct? Are there plans to update/change the db servers ip's? I think a few clients of mine reference the ip's and not the domains for their connection strings. I can start getting them to change them if this is the case.

We are sending out notifications as we migrate. As soon as the second IPs are added to the domains, the resellers will be notified. At that point, you will have 7 days to make sure everything is updated.

We cannot send out notifications before this since the new IP has not yet been assigned and you would not know the IP to replace in your code.

There are plans to change the DB server IPs, but not any time soon. We will make sure you get plenty of notice before this happens

We are continuing this IP migration. In addition to dedicated IPs for individual sites, we are also migrating the shared IPs on the following servers: nt3, nt29, nt30, nt31, nt32, nt36, and nt37.

The NT3 and NT29 servers already have double bindings added to the web server. The new shared IP for NT3 is 216.157.128.192. The new shared IP for NT29 is 216.157.141.2.

We will post the rest of the new shared IPs as they are migrated. The earliest that the old shared IPs will be removed is Wednesday 9/28.

Can you also post OLD IP. This could help us find affected accounts that uses external DNS service.
