Ok, so basically it makes accessing sites easier/faster with multiple paths to get to them? Like those teeny weeny synapses in the brain!

Gotcha.

You really are a T3CHN0 STUD, Tanks!

p.s. I still don't like Fance Telecom.

Of course then we'd probably have to find a link for synapses for someone else.

Anyone in South America using ComSat?

Looks like they will be added in 10 days or so.
(They have to set up the connection on their end)

Sprint comes in via Internap, we don't peer or buy from sprint as of yet, so it's shortest path is ATL to orlando via internap it seems. Sucks that it comes orlando Atlanta orlando. Not much we can do about that until we peer or happen to buy from sprint.

Can't wait to see how pings are improved down here from Oz!

Hey is there a trick to getting crawled more often? Anything I can use for my clients' sites?

I am sure there are lots of things you can do. Google seems to show frequently. Content and links matter, of course. You can make a career of it. I was shocked to find several companies doing this for large sums of money, with no guarantees, of course. Big companies were actually paying for it. So just gotta get the right fish I suppose.

Did you try the revisit tag?

Yeah.. a client of mine (national Oz company) pays around $500/week to an "optimiser" who (so he says) contantly does things to keep our ratings high in search engines. No idea what that entails! I think they're starting to wonder themselves..

Just noticed I'm getting pings of 280ms instead of the usual 300~320ms from here in Perth, Oz... will keep an eye on it, hopefully it keeps improving!
