estimated timeframe ........
Please say the best estimate of when we will have our network back to the condition we are acustom to.
I have a new business client ready to roll out on Monday in East Coast USA time. If we will not be back up (to speed) by then I will have to try to give them an excuse and stall until all issues are resolved. No matter what the time frame is please post so we can make plans accordingly. Thanks, b |

It is my understanding that we are hoping to bring Barney back online tomorrow (Monday). That was the last I heard as of 2am this morning when we are the data center. If this has changed, I am sure Brad will let you know.

We just tweeked a lot of stuff. Everyone notice the speed boost? Anyone still haveng problems speed wise? |

Ok speed is seems to be fixed now. I will be going to tampa to get more parts for the router today and we are also still working with extreme networks to make sure this does not happen again. We will have 2 routers redundant with in there self with another redundant router there with it. This will/should fully fix this issue.

Excellent - gone from 20 kbps to 1.65mbps which is better than before and suprising since I'm on a 1.5 mbps modem! Whatever you've tweaked, don't untweak it when you put things back to normal

Thanks for the hard work!
When I mentioned earlier about a important job on Monday, what I have to do is train an office staff on how to use their new MAMBO site for updating and adding new pages. Thsi is why I needed to know if we would be back to "speed" Now one other thing ..... If we have to bring the network down for any reason tomorrow will there be any advance notice? Thanks for getting everything back! b |

Is there any way to contact you on situations like that? I mean Just in case... last night after 10 mins of down time I try to reach support but just get a voice mail...
that dosn't make me feel "SUPPORTED" can you implemento some EMERGENCI SMS or PAGE system?

Bubba, just to be on the safe side, you may want to setup the product called Mambo Stand Alone Server (MSAS). Essentially, it is a self contained Apache web server, with PHP, and MySQL. You can then load your customer site on it, and perform all testing / demonstration locally.
I have never worked with MSAS myself, but it may be worth your while to have something like that available for customer demonstrations. |

Lost everything this morn. Nothing worked; nslookup,trace route, ping; nothing at all. Good for us, since it was a Sunday. Or else we had had it..!
There should be some way where we can get in touch to get information other than making a voice call.. |

Pace, the network has been up since early this morning and updates have been posted here as we got them.
Francisco, everyone was at the data center working on the issue which was why you got voice mail. Generally, when there is someone *major* going on everyone is actively working on the issue so submitting a ticket and/or checking the forum is the best way to contact us during issues like this. Now...Brad and I are heading to Clearwater within the next few minutes to pick up the parts for Barney. It's a 2 hour trip each way so it will be several hours before we return. I am sure an announcement will be sent out and/or posted once we return and they know when they will be bringing Barney back up.

I recall when i was posting on the emergency forum, that it was trying to access smtp.vortechhosting.com, and seeing as the network was down it couldnt get to it. It might pay to check into this as it might be why it crashed. Pace, it will be in your forum options somewhere |
