Update

Is there an update to hly's question- MX vs 5.0? I am just beginning to set up a site using Cold Fusion MX scripts, and would like to upload within the next month. Thanks

Anything new? Tests still show CF 5.0 on the Win servers. There's has to be a way to point to MX on a per account basis. It's seems like an awful waste to have MX sitting there not being used, not to mention my $10/month!

Please let us know.

Yep

We are trying make sure its going to be safe to remove MX and reinstall MX and remove CF 5 from the server as MX should upgrade the CF5 to MX and then remove CF 5.. As far as i know MX can run CF5 code so it should be fine.

If next week is better then this past week then i should be able to get it done then.. Its been nuts around here sorry..

Thanks. No problem. But do post asap when MX is good to go. I think I speak for a lot of the resellers in saying that we are all anxious to start promoting MX. It's still early in the game, so there's relatively not too many CF MX hosts out there yet.

:(

Bad news guys.. Its going to be some time before MX can be supported at all. We have found some big holes in MX some that can even let users hack the server. This we for sure can not have.

I have talked to Macromedia abotu this and they know of the bug and have not made a fix yet.. So MX is on hold till this is fixed.. But in the mean time i will keep testing and working with Psoft to get this working in the CP as well.

Untill Macromedia fixes these problems we can't support this.

Can you give us the bug reference on Macromedia's site? We are doing some internal testing and would like to know which bug you are talking about.

Any word yet on ColdFusion MX? We just attended the Macromedia DevCom there in Orlando and are excited about trying out some new tricks.

yo! i just came back from DevCon too. I honestly have never heard anything about this bug. But then again, I don't think Vortech has ever really gone into detail on what this bug is.

Bumping Question

Can we get an update on Coldfusion MX? At least an idea on when we can expect to be able to use it. Many new tags in mx that would be nice to use.

Any news on this? Or a rough estimate of when we can expect support please?

Thanks
