02/07/2004 Mail4
Mail4 got hammered a few minutes ago with 45,000 inbound SPAM emails directed at a particular client. This was caught immediately by the Staff and the target domain has had email privileges revoked. Currently the queue is around 30,000 and dropping, but you may see delays while the server redirects these to /dev/null........this could have been much worse but the flood was caught within 60 seconds and appropriate measures taken immediately.
Good job Matt!! Sorry I had to wake you ![]() |
