In the control pannel go to Domains, then click on DNS configuration, and you should be able to chang it in there. (thats for Hsphere)

You'll need to make sure the plan hosting the account has "Custom DNS" enabled at plan level as well. Also be sure to turn of email on the domain too (unless you want to use Vortech as a secondary MX in which case add your own MX with a prioirty < 10)

You must first create an A record to the other mailserver (or CNAME though preferrably an A record as CNAME's will confuse some servers)
call it say pop3 or something and then in the MX record you would have webmaillogin.com IN MX 10 pop3.webmailogin.com Last edited by Brangwyn : 11-11-2003 at 06:42 PM. |

It's going to need to propagate as well, may not work for 24hours or so correctly.

yes, in a nutshell you simply load the domain into your service plan (or any other plan you may use for odd jobs likes this) at Vortech, make sure email is enabled and then get them to point their "MX" record at their existing host to the correct vortech mailserver.
