Problem

Hello,
The problem is that you have formail set to only allow it to send mail to emails based on the local domain. I would setup a forward to the external email and then have formmail send to that forward. The other option is to edit the formmail.cgi script if ou know what you are doing.

exactly hostnet..

so i intend to look for "email to a friend" cgi-script myself, without changing the script in the integrated formmail..

hi sandgnat,

the current problem i'm currently encountering is probably the 755 permission, how will i be able to configure that? in the control panel or ftp itself?

thanks.

You can "change mode" by control panel or FTP program. Which way do you want to do it?

In the control panel under "tools", click the "file manager". This will open the Webshell.

Keep clicking in the directory until you get into the cgi-bin. Once you are in the cgi-bin, look for your script. Click the link to the right, it should look something like rw-r-r. Click the link and make sure you check the following in the popup window:

user: read, write, execute
group: read,execute
user: read, execute

Once your done, the link should now look like rwxr-xr-x. That should set your permissions to 755.

Hope that helps.
