I know several people who are using Intuit products. There are several levels of invoicing products available.

If you are only interested in quotes, invoicing, keeping track of unpaid invoices and receiving payments then Quickbooks Invoice Manager is all you need. At 39.95 it is a great product. Very simple, but no inventory management.

If you want to track banking information, account payable and receivable and more, then you need either Quicken Home and Business or Quickbooks.

If you basically run your business out of a checkbook and want to use a simple "single entry" accounting system, then Quicken Home and Business is a good choice. The only drawback about using Quicken instead of Quickbooks (either invoice manager or the full package) is that Quicken no longer supports integrated credit card processing. Of course you are still capable of recording the transactions, but it does not process and record the transaction in one step. At Sam's Club it runs around $65, plus you can use it for your home information as well.

If you really want to do it right, then I would suggest Quickbooks Pro or Premier. My choice was Premier. For a little extra money, you get all the bells and whistles. Again, Sam's Club has the best deal. You can get the Premier Industry Specific package which also includes an excellent training CD for around $300. There are also many add-ons available for the Quickbooks products... some of which may offer features that would be of benefit to hosting companies. I really believe that QB Premier will give you everything you need and more. I have used them all and they are all great.

Intuit also offers credit card processing programs that integrate with Quickbooks. Be aware that you must use their processing program with their products. There are several third party add-ins available which will allow you to use Authorize.net processing inside of Quickbooks, but it will cost extra for the add-in.

I hope this helps.
