Changing the H-Sphere user "ownership" of a domain

I have gone and set up a billable account/control panel for a customer who is actually one of my "house" accounts, so I now have one less free billable account to play with (doh, again).

How can I change the ownership of a domain between CP users? (I tried simply adding the domain in question to the correct H-Sphere account but got an error message about the zone being taken.)

And, will the solution free up a CP for later use?

(hands clasped in prayer here)
Hopefully I won't have to delete the account, 100MB of files and re-upload!

Pete

You'll have to delete the domain from the account I'm afraid

If you delete the account it will free up a billiable account (assuming your still under your free limit) .. if you'r already over the limit and have been charged the extra $4 then your SOL say goodbye to the $4

Your probably going to have to reupload all the files too .. suggest zip them up first and then use webshell to unzip them again once they're uploaded to the domain. Will save you a little time if it's a lot of smaller files.

I could be on the wrong tram, but...couldn't your write an ASP page or similar to move the files, if both accounts are on the same server? Then you're just moving stuff around on the same disk?

yes but to create the second account wouldnt you need to delete the first one? which of course would then delete the content.

If it windows deleting the domain won't delete the content, but the chance of getting on the same server when the domains added back to the other account is probably 50/50 just depends on how many servers are currently open for signups.
