Need to understand Mail Quota better
I've read in another post that Mail Quota refers to the size of the mailbox for ONE email address. I've run into a problem with a few clients who have run up extraordinary overages over the recommended settings. It was recommended to set the quota to around 5-10mb. I've done this but have clients charged for 15-50mb overages, but when i look at the number/size of emails they are getting it just doesn't seem to add up. Also, it appears that if one account goes "over" all the other mail accounts automatically go over as well. In some cases, some accounts only had around 2-3 small text emails in them, and those email addresses were also charged as going x # of mb over the mail quota.
So I'm confused, if mail quota relates to the size of one mailbox, why am I having these problems. It seems to be more based on usage, or transfer as a whole, rather than per account.
Any thoughts or explanations would be most helpful. I've gone over the psoft documentation and it also says mail quota is for one box.
