I chose it because of the caliber of vendors and their technology seems tight. I have not been able to finish the website or start marketing yet but it works just like it says it does.

If you have a Fed ID, it is a little easier and you don't have to give up your SSN.

I set it up for this website.... >>>> www.carriedawayvacations.com

He might be talking about being an Advertiser as opposed to a Publisher.

I made some easy money selling Antivirus software from CJ, but it is too expensive to be become an advertiser...

oops... my bad. Well why doesn't everyone see things the same way as me anyway? LOL

I wondered about the sellers perspective... with the commission structure, it seems you would have to offer a large percentage so everyone involved would get their middleman chunk of the pie.

They are too choosy in selecting who is allowed to be an affiliate, so you may not get too many affiliates promoting your product. I had tried to open an advertiser account with them with a good looking site, but they said it wasn't right for CJ and rejected my application (#?!$?)

my site looked better than theirs...

Always keep an extra credit card processing account ready to take orders as a backup, just in case (speaking from experience). I use: 2checkout.com

It's easy to open an account and the charges are reasonable, no need of any monthly activity and no monthly charges. Their new system is great and support is also good.

Interesting... that vacation site was picked up with very little content. I know that they don't want sites that use more than one affiliate program. Anyway, that's good advice... get the site up and "flashy" before you ask them to take a look.

They are not like Google, they expect a certain number of traffic or they charge you for been affiliate. So if you don’t have a lot of traffic stay with Google.
