@mail problem
There are still some serious quality problem in @mail:
1. Some emails are moved to trash or deleted by mistake If choose most of the emails in inbox, and move to trash or deleted, all of the emails in inbox will be moved or deleted! This is very dangeous. 2. Cannot move emails from trash to inbox If move the email to trash by mistake, there is no way move it back to inbox. 3. Cannot see email's content if transferred If transfer an email to another email box without adding any content, usually this transferred email has blank content if receiving this email via OUTLOOK, FOXMAIL,ETC. Most of the receiver will believe it is REALLY A BLANK email and delete it. But if this email is transferred again, the content comes out. 4. Chinese version Even though the language is chosn as "CHINESE" in the settings, but at the beginning of log in the @mail. "CHINESE" have to be chosed again. If leave the language as "defaut", the email language will be ENGLISH, no Chinese would be read. 5. cannot return to previous page while reading an email in the inbox and wish to return to previous page by pushing the "go back" bottom, the page will ture out to be blank and mistaken. All these problems make the @mail difficult to use. Fred |

1. I've never had that happen, and I use @Mail constantly. In fact I typically choose most message to delete (since they are generally junk mail) and the ones I didn't choose remain.
I'm not saying it isn't happening, but one suggestion is if you're using the 'Advanced' interface, try the 'Simple' one - I've had better luck with it, and although the drag-drop features and other stuff of the 'advanced' are nice, they aren't worth the added wait time and chance for error. I've always thought that the 'advanced' interface should be taken out anyhow, but that's my opinion. 2. I agree, this would be a nice feature, but I don't think Matrix has a choice with this one. I don't think it's a feature of @Mail that can be changed, but if it can, my vote would be to be able to move from 'Trash' back to 'Inbox' - I too have accidentally moved stuff to trash only to lose it completely. Another thing on this is if you create a custom folder and move 'inbox' mail to it, you also cannot move this back. Bummer, yes. I think the thing to remember here is that @Mail is a secondary service to qmail (which is what I think Matrix uses) - when you start moving messages around in @Mail, they are taken off the mail servers, and I think that it would be impossible, if not very difficult, for @Mail to be able to put them back on the mail servers. 3. I've never seen this either, so sorry I cannot help here. 4. Also, cannot help here ![]() 5. Again, since @Mail has the limitations of the internet, I think we have to deal with this. Again, try the 'simple' interface. I use it and can use my 'back' button all day long. @Mail certainly isn't perfect, but it's a huge improvement over Horde - I think just from the standpoint of professional looking and working, it stands out from the rest. I'm sure as time goes on it will get many improvements. Perhaps you can try their forum to see if you can ask about these issues - http://www.webbasedemail.com Lastly, be sure to use IE when using @Mail. I've tried a few browsers, and it really works best for me with IE. Good luck! ![]() |
