I like webwiz forum for asp. Haven't been impressed by any of the free/cheap .net forums.

I could make the site in asp.net and create something like

forum.mysite.com

if this is possible, then I could use either a php solution ....or that is bad?

Thanks

It is pretty much just what you prefer to work with. If you are good with ASP, then use an ASP based forum. If you are good with PHP, then use a PHP based forum. Use what is easier for you to install and maintain.

is it necessary to tweak with the scripts?

my flavour is more ASP.NET/VB.NET, not pure old ASP 3.0 or earlier

Yeah well work with whatever you a best with. you can still run php and asp(.net) in the same site. ie they dont have to be in different domains/sub domains.
