mail5 - 4/7/5

Hello,
mail5 is down ATM and is on its way to the office. There is no ETA, however it is our top priority. Basically, a high volume of mail shot the load way up. I will keep this thread updated. No mail should be lost as any servers sending mail to this server will hang on to it until it comes back up.

Mail5 is in the office at the moment. It is undergoing an extended FSCK. This may solve the issue... More to come.

Mail5 is back up and working.

It will stay in the office (Yes.. on the slow t-1) for the afternoon and it will be brought back to the DC this evening when the traffic is lowest.

Still Down.. :(

Hi, server still down I CAN"T reach it and also a test mail was return with this error:

216.157.145.25 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (#5.1.1) Giving up on 216.157.145.25.

I am not sure what issues you have but the server is working correctly at the moment. There may be some delay on mail delivery as the serverwas down for a while and the mail must catch up. But that should be mostly done by now. The mail queue is low and there is a LOT of mail being recieved and sent.

Ping #3: * [No response]
Ping #4: * [No response]

And in outlook, all the accounts just say processing ...

Same as Randy Here, ping is on and off with time of 850ms when usually from Colombia is 115ms, also outlook star reciving a 243Kb message but never get the message operation time out

mail5 is on its way downtown. For good measure, give it about an hour, although it shouldn't really take that long. If anything comes up, I'll be sure to post.
