No not sure what it was, IPmon never alerted us and nothing in the logs but I know it was down and trying to find out why or what it was doing.

Admin wasn't saying IPMon never said anything was down, but it wasn't paging them letting them know it was down. I just got back in from some little computer jobs, wis I had been here to catch it.

Oh yeah I realise that
 but obviously who ever was "in the office" had the volume turned down too !  I would have thought you'd have multiple notify jobs setup, not just paging but an alternative such as email as well ?
