Question Information request

Hope this is the right forum for this. Here are some grey areas for me. I have seen some of this answered in forums, faqs,KB and manuals, but welcome more input.

1. What is a good way to use the ips either shared or dedicated when planning a svc domain or for that matter other plans? Especially, if you have several of your own you would like to setup? For instance I ended up w/ a shared ip for my svc domain. Should this be dedicated if I want SSL and FTP? How do I change this w/out messin somethin up? I see some features for this, but they seem limited...so I must be missing somethin.

2. In general how are ips being managed by others and utilized w/ SSL on a cost and function basis?

3. What are "good"(logical or effective) ways to create accts for diff reseller needs. ie. a tech subdomain, svc domain acct. structure?

Any body care to make a basic reseller check list?

Thanx

A: Shared would be fine unless you need SSL for that domain. But you can change from shared to IP at any time.

A: Not sure i can help on this one. Not a reseller but i am sure someone here can give you an idea..

A: Well the way we did our plans is lay them out and stick to them. If some one needs a custom plan you can copy a plan that is close then edit it.

Question

Thanks admin. I am gonna ask specifics here because obviously there are multiple options in several cases here.

If I need to take my unix svc domain and host other(unix) domains of my own that require SSL &/or ftp. It seems I should put them all under svc domain w/ a dedicated ip. Then alias diff domain names unless I get another ip for any other domains or some kind of pointing. Does this sound feasible? If so do I just tell the ip that was assigned to me to be dedicated?

Also for customers where do you assign a cost to an ip?
Is this in the plan wizard?(did not remember seeing this.)

Could I then create another acct. under svc domain. I don't see that another acct. is necessary. I only need 1 login. I don't necessarily want those unix domains to point to the same site.(I might, not sure yet. ) Can a dedicated ip have 2 sep domains on it or only one unless you alias? If so how? Would I need to point to a subdirectory?

So need SSL/ftp=dedicated ip correct?
Need multiple domains w/ one login on unix. Can I only alias or can I have seperate sites? If so...How?

Thanx all....
