Actually I'd really consider setting up some maintenance jobs on the SQL Server, silly things such as index rebuilds regularly can be a tremendous difference on the overall server performance.

Not to mention simple things such as actually running Disk Defrags. MSSQL is Rock Solid no doubt about it, but it does need a little TLC now and then too !

potential data integrity issues aside, yes, landiserve, I was able to import ms-sql directly from SQLyog, nor problems. Just make sure to create a DSN then select use file to import.

I don't believe webalizer uses a DB at all, I am pretty sure it just reads the rawlogs that are inthe log folder.

i guess that would make sense, but it also wants itself rebuilt every so often, which suggests some form of database (I think). it would be convenient if the TWO BIG PROBLEMS at vortech were related!

actually, I tihnk the issue is that it starts from a CLI to generate the logs, and for some reason it "forgets" there are very few issues with it on unix, mainly on windows domains.
