need your help

I wanted to ask all the reseller accounts users to briefly tell me about the services of matrix hosting.

Stuff like uptime, customer support and things like you want to know before you would host with anyone.

thanx in advance

The best thing to do would be to browse these forums and ask for more details if something puzzles you.

I think they offer a pretty decent set of feature and they try to expend that from time to time. It still lacks some security features though. This does not mean that we're at risk, they are security councious as their label shows.

The price is really good for the components that they offer. It's the most flexible system that you will get for your money.

I wouldn't put a site that needs high availability or that gets high traffic in here. I simply don't trust performance. Too many downtime and small problems. But this is shared hosting, if you have a large site you probably have the money to get a dedicated.

If you intend to resell a lot, you might have to setup your own website with separate billing and signup as Hsphere does a poor job at that.

Support is still pretty good. I say still, because in my experience the situation tends to degrade pretty fast once a host grows. You usually get an answer within 24 hours (most of the time within 12). That does not mean that the situation would be solved that fast. You need to have patience.

One thing I like about Matrix is that we can talk about our problems right here in this forum. They don't try to hide things to make themselves look better. Shit happens and they deal with it.

I'm fairly new to Matrix (been here about a month now). Over the last month I've moved ~30 of my webhosting clients onto the system with very little problems. HSphere is overall very convenient to use though it does have its quirks. It's still very actively developed so I expect it to improve before with better stability and even more functionality. I know I've done some fairly rigorous testing by moving over a bunch of new clients all at once and at least 90% of them went flawlessly. The rest, there were some minor issues with stability last week but Matrix has been helpful and friendly every step of the way. I would recommend giving it a shot.

I only recently joined Matrix as well but so far things have gone well as far as the company itself is concerned. Most of the problems tend to be because of the peculiarities of the control panel system (and the reliance on the control panel makers to sort the odd problem out) rather than Matrix's support or network being bad. I haven't yet started hosting any live clients because I'm still figuring out how to run my own billing system because the built-in thing that comes with the control panel doesn't suit my way of doing things at all.

If you think that HSphere will suit your needs then I guess you probably couldn't have a better host... And they're even planning on supporting other control panels too in the future!

Yep, The billing problems you guys run in to will be gone once we support CPanel, Plesk and Ensim.. We will also be selling ModernBill's new billing system 4.0 at a huge discount for resellers as well..

This is the new billing system coming out soon for the other control panels..

Ooooo - I was looking at ModernBill only yesterday. But I don't think it will yet interface with H-Sphere will it? Is it ever likely to do so?

Sorry - I know this thread was supposed to be about quality of service...

If it doesn't integrate how can you make it work with H-sphere?

Example: hsphere bills a user when they add a resource that goes over their credit limit - how would modernbill know about it?

Thanks
Jammin
