About a week ago we setup a Unix site
to act as our support page. It was assigned a static IP address and used a 3rd level domain name with an A record pointing to the assigned IP address (XXX.XXX.140.34). Worked great .. no problems. Today we clicked on the link and get a server not found error. The control panel indicated that a different IP address was assigned. (XXX.XXX.131.54). First reaction was, "What the ....." No changes had been made by us to the DNS since we first created the A record. Anyway, we changed the zone A record to the new IP that mysteriously appeared. Tried it out and looks like all is well (except our sites on NT14, but I guess the customers haven't noticed yet :| ) We submitted a TT (#32919) - but wanted to pass this on to give a heads up to all others. Apparently static IPs may not be so static. Hope this was just a quirk (read Gremlins), but resellers may want to verify that the IP they provide customers has not been changed.

Hello,
We have checked with the developers there was a quirk in the ip setup system that has been fully resolved now. It will not happen again.
