mail server generating error

Hi

One our Client is using Oracle Based Software (Orion)and they are trying to configure mail settings on the software.
When they try to send emails it gives following error
220 mail10.hsphere.cc ESMTP
250 mail10.hsphere.cc
334 VXNlcm5hbWU6
334 UGFzc3dvcmQ6
535 authentication failed (#5.7.1)
250-mail10.hsphere.cc
250-STARTTLS
250-PIPELINING
250-8BITMIME
And we found from them, our mail server is not supporting some of the functions and need some changes.

Is anybody having idea to resolve this issue???.. or is it related with Orion Software.

I'd make sure they're using a valid mail10 email account/password first, but you might want to put in a trouble ticket. There's probably something in place to prevent mail relays as an anti-spam measure.

Customer is using valid username and password.

I did submit trouble ticket and I got reply saying there is no problem in vortech mail server

Is this a remote application or a web based one running on a webserver? server based scripts should be using localhost to send email out.

Note Vortech do not support TLS as far as I know but only tech support could answer that definitively.
