Router / Network Down Time On 10/08/2005 between 1:00am ET and 1:15am ET

Your probably taking a different route than previously meelan, most likely nothing to be concerned about, routes do change over time, that's how the internet keeps on ticking over when peering changes etc.

Francisco, it's unlikely this effected your ping time unless something else had been changed, as far as I know it was nothing more than a simple memory change, if anything it may have improved the efficiency of the router, if you look at your tracert you'll probably find like meelan your perhaps currently taking a different route than you were previously.

The change in latency was do to one provider being down. It has taken a few days to get their hardware stratened out. It seams to be working fine now. Everything should be back to normal. or better....

Does this (outages and slow pings) have anything to do with Level 3 and Cogent messing around with peerings?

On October 08 the ping time was 128 and 137 ms and now all the way to 146 149ms

is this change something to do with a ping increase time I'm getting??? a couple days ago ping from my end was 105 ms noe is 128 and 137 ms???? any ideeas??

Seems to be some issues down the line, I will send out router tech a note to see if he can improve them at all to there push the route to another provider.

We do have some stuff in the works as well that might help, we are working with Level(3), Savis, Wiltel, abovenet, MCI and may be bring some of them or all of them only line. We will be running a gige line from our current DC to another building here in orlando that has a bit more bandwidth then our building. We will also be putting systems in this new DC as well.

We are looking at the Level(3) DC here in orlando and also a provider thats in an ex colo.com building, both have a few providers we don't have yet.
