I got that too and tried this morning to install it following the instructions on their read-me file... so far nothing is working at all. Got some kind of nasty errors.

It would also be nice if they wanted us to beta test their product for them they could atleast post a file outlining whats different in the new version/why the need for a new version.

I'm just glad I put it over an older version catalog (2.5) that I wasn't actually using at the moment. Probably saved me hours of headaches if I had done that to one of my clients sites first.

Sometimes its best to remember, "if it aint broke, don't fix it."

I use Frontpage as well and would definitely recomend vp-asp shopping cart which is fully customizable with plenty of options and a very efficient helpdesk. I guess that every shop has its own special problems and its own special solutions so the customization possibilities are an important aspect for choosing a shopping cart. In my case, the customization needs were very important and I was able to manage almost all of them by myself, without any knowledge of coding.

I have been using PDG Soft shopping cart with FP 2002/2003 on Vortech with no problems. Recommend them. you can get a 30-day full functioning trial off of the web. www.pdgsoft.com It can be with several different O/S with FP or Dreamweaver. Just my two cents.

Thumbs down Candypress drowning?

I was doing some research on Candypress before purchasing and I am not impressed. Have you seen the latest posts?

http://www.candypress.com/CPforum/fo...112&a mp;TPN=3

and at Comersus?
http://www.comersus.org/forum/displa....asp?mid=31667

What's so dang hard about getting a Copyright if the work is original and truly yours? I have seen both the Comersus code as well as the Candypress code and that BS about their only being 1% of Comersus in Candypress is a big fat lie. Candypress JUST got a Copyright in Canada in May. COmersus has been copyrighted in the U.S. for some years now...hence the reason Candypress cannot obtain a U.S. Copyright. The bull about them having sent the Copyright in is a lie to...all you have to do is to call and check the status. NOT ON FILE. ..or even better check online at http://www.copyright.gov

If you are a faithful follower, maybe you should open your eyes as to what's really going on here and stop being fooled by words. Is everyone on that website REALLY so hard up for a shopping cart that they can't even see what's happening?

This new version looks like its' full of errors anyway. It's been in development for about a year and still no release (as of today anyway). There don't seem to be too many major upgrades in it at all and I wouldn't buy it...especially not for what it will cost.
