I'm in the office and didn't get pull over, I did see others not so lucky...They are really enforcing the curfew...I only live about 3 minutes from the office so I figured I'd be ok (we have a FL state police station across the street from the office)....I am ready, willing and able to assist in anyway!

I had backup since things weren't as dire as they could have been. Carly, Brad, and Matt were partially or wholly available.

It's still quite gusty outside since the storm's circulation is keeping a band of high winds swinging over Orlando metro. I'd join Dave at the office but I'm not a curfew-breaking lout like he is and, unlike his 57 tons of American steel, my Toyota is likely to fly if I get on the expressway. I'll wait for morning.

well I had no downtime. cool. kinda was nervous though all this.... mostly for the staff and stuff. hope this wont happen soon. you may want to have another datacenter located in anotehr location thats less prone to natural distasters. just a thought

thanks for all.

Toronto would be a great spot! We don't have any natural disasters up here (just a little snow in the winter), it's in the same time zone as Orlando (so no server time issues), and it's been over a year since a major satellite-visible power outage or life-threatening virus breakout.

"Toronto: It's safe now!"

Canadians don't count ice storms that disable the province for a week or two as a natural disaster - it's every day life - lol.

They don't cound Beef that bites back either. 8-)

I was sitting in a restaurant in southern Ontario province not too long back when my host, a native no less, decides to get cute with the waitress and ask for a hamburger "without mad cow please". She just ignored him.

Just though I'd share.

In case anyone was worried - I made it!

My house doesn't have power, but the place I'm staying in has power & cable. So YaY! Hopefully my house doesn't get looted by the punk kids that live across the street. But other than that, I think we fared well.

Good to hear from you. We tried to call you last night on your home phone and cell phone with no answer. Was getting a bit worried.

Caig is fine, just without power the last time we spoke with him earlier today.

John is fine and has his power back already.

Vantage lost power the earliest (I believe on Friday evening).

Lindsey is no longer with the company.

Kim and I will be leaving Savannah around dawn tomorrow. Hopefully, the traffic will not be too bad and I will have power once I get there.
