Customer still receiving email through old account
I have a client who recently setup a hosting account with me. Her domain is registered at register.com and she also has a register.com email account. I changed the name servers and the domain resolves to the new server but her email is still coming through the old register.com account.
Do I need to edit the register.com MX record if so what should I change it to? Thanks, Justin. |

Does your client have email forwards setup with his/her registrar? It may also be a propagation issue if it's only been a day or 2 since the changes have been made.

It has been almost a week and as far as I know there is no forwarding.
I think the problem is with regerister.com's mx record which looks like this: mxmail.register.com. What should I change this to? Thanks, Justin |

It should be mail.clientdomain.com (clientdomain being your client's domain). You can double check by logging into their control panel and click on 'E-mail' to see the mail server H-Sphere is using.
