Same server?

Is the ‘mail’ and ‘MySQL’ operated from the same server?

I just noticed that one of my MySQL operated sited couldn’t connect to the database, so I checked some other of my other domains and found that another six where also down, yet those without (just UNIX) were operational.

The reason I ask is that at the same time the email for all my domains also failed…….
Was only off a couple of mins (may be a re-boot?) but just interested……..

Yes it was a reboot.. mysql.hsphere.cc is on the same server..

mysql1.hsphere.cc and pgsql1.hsphere.cc are on anther server.

When we first started using H-Sphere there was no need to have mysql on its own servers but as it is grown we are splitting some more things up. But the mail server is way under loaded to say the least..
