How long will it take you to restore the files? What happened? Bostjan P.s.: What about your 99.999% uptime policy? |

I see that the cpanel default page is showing up for our domains. Will our web sites be back up as well?

It takes hours, generally but it may go quicker. There is no exact time table for a restore. It all depends on how much content was on the machine.

Fact is that servers go down, things break, and there isn't much anyone can do to stop it. I have been all around this game and I can tell you that it doesn't get better than vortech. I have a client that does business im the millions and I advised them at 9:00 AM along with the other 73 calls I had to make that we were in for a long day. Nobody said they were leaving for the competition, because they knew that I was doing everything I could and that I would never put them in a situation that wasn't in their best interest. If your client is leaving over this he was just looking for an excuse anyway, or he is new to the digital world.

I have been around for while too, and Vortech is the best I have come accross (obviously:-).
I know this happends and that there is nothing anyone can do about it, but still... 12 hours is a loooong time. I hope that tomorrow when the sites are up again we will be able to convince them to stay (we will offer a BIG refund .Any idea on how far on restoration we are?
