trouble with domain name...

I am trying to set up a clients site and domain name. I use godaddy.com to register the name and I was putting in the name servers that the h-sphere was telling me to (ns2.hsphere.cc & ns3.hsphere.cc) but I kept getting an unavailable error on the ns3 so I tried with the ip address and got this error:
"Parent domain not registered;"
I googled that and found out that it means:
550 Parent domain not registered
The parent domain of a name server being registered is not
registered. This occurs when the registrar tries to add a new name
server and the parent domain for the server does not exist in the
registry.

any ideas on what to do?
thanks in advance,
michael

have you registered all your service domain nameservers? There are currently 4 of them, ns, ns1, ns2, ns3. Until you do that, you create new domains in HSphere. Plus, as a reseller, you should never be using the hsphere.cc nameservers, only your own service domain nameservers.

To register your custom service domain nameservers, you have to go to your registrar for your service domain, and register them with their respective IP addresses. Give it a couple days to propagate, and you will be ready to go.

yes, if you use GoDaddy, that's exactly what it's called. Remember, you only do this for the service domain that your HSphere account is using. For all the domains that you host under that service domain, you only set their name servers to ns?.yourservicedomain.com (x2)

Any other questions, feel free to ask or PM me.
