Can we get our secure cp back?
Since all these moves (IP/servers) we haven't been able to setup a secure cp again. When will that feature be back?

That issue should be resolved by now. What is your Service Domain?

Please have a look at ticket [BKF-83640]. The cp ssl manager tells me that "HTTP SSL support is unavailable on this CP."

No somereseller you aren't the only one, it seems psoft disabled CP SSL while they fix what they have done.

SSL for cp came back yesterday. I added my cert and today my cp is unreachable!
I investigated and found out that the default URL for my cp has been changed once again. This has to be the third time in the past two weeks and I never got one warning about those changes. This is very irritating! And I'm not sure this is the end of problems since the alias does not point to the cp's IP anymore. Last edited by somereseller : 12-06-2003 at 06:32 AM. |

Did some tests. Hpshere is a mess once again. Applying SSL for the cp removes your alias and replaces it with cp.yourdomain.com. Total nonsense.
So if you use cp.yourdomain.com you probably won't notice any problem, but if you have something different, do not apply SSL to your cp... |

Maybe
![]() If you use a standard alias of cp.mydomain you won't notice anything, lucky you. |

As long as your service alias for cp.hsphere is something.yourdomain under e.manager it would make no difference if it was cp or something else really. It depends on if you setup your account right or not.
As far as I know all SSL is working just fine on the CP now. Also why would you think SSL is going to work if your CP URL is not set right.. You lost me there.. Some Reseller I checked I your account and also changed your URL to hsphere.interfasys.net I take thats the one you wanted and it worked with zero issues for me so I am not sure what your issue is.

!!STILL NOT FIXED!!
Just go to my admin cp, go to the cp ssl manager. See the alias? Now turn SSL off. See the alias change? Since I'm a guinea pig right now you might as well use my cp for some more tests... Now that SSL is off go, to the server alias page and delete the cp alias, create a new one that is not cp.domainname and go back to the ssl manager. You'll see your alias there. Now turn on SSL, a temp cert should do. Looks like it worked. Go back to the server alias page and guess what...Your alias has been removed....How nice. I've replied to your ticket, You'll get it if your email stops bouncing.
Also, if you're going to submit a ticket for a problem that is specific to your account, do not post on the forum as well, it takes time to answer BOTH and then you'll get frustrated because 2 different people will be working on it. Last edited by Bladesnitz : 12-07-2003 at 11:40 AM. |
