a day away!!! You lucky dog, ours is on the 15th.

The biggest theater around here is having a marathon day for it. They are going to play the first and second special editions and then the new one and that one is a midnight showing. Its going to be kinda wild.

I'm taking the day off for it.

For the general public its still 2 weeks away, it's just the world premier tomorrow with all the stars etc viewing it here in Wellington (well theres 2000 lucky people seeing it tomorrow anyway).

Well I have to say new zealand is beautiful. It is funny how the industry works. About 2 yrs before the first one I saw that god awful attempt in the 80's and thought how horrible and that someone should try to do a decent version because they had the technology. I thought ron howard actually had the heart for it and the special effects experience. However, apparently that was about the time that peter jackson was getting this together. He, his wife and everyone involved has done a wonderful job. Looking forward to the last one.

Yeah from the reports we've been hearing about the previews shown here in the last few days to the media etc the last one is going to be awesome. Actually just sitting here watching the Extended TTT DVD right now as it was a crap TV night.

Got some super ones this afternoon from the Airport as they left actually, also was just walking back to work this afternoon and they were all leaving their hotel via the back entrance, which happens to also be right next to our office, so got a great view of them packing up cars etc and leaving for the airport ... just didn't have my camera on me ... anyway after that someone told me the were doing a final photo op at the airport so I ducked out there myself. Photos to come.

The wife got a gollum stamp autographed by Andy Serkis today too, I'll scan that one up as well.
