MSSQL is down

Any word on MSSQL? It has been down for at least an hour and I have not heard back on my support ticket. Last time this happened it was down for 6 hours, so let's hope we are not in for a repeat:

Please provide an update, my clients are going nuts.

brad, so later with sp3a. It has 4 months old!

Ms:
SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a
Content Updated: May 20, 2003

You should try to mantain up to date all servers!

And reaffirm my assent to upgrade webservers to win2003 !

I understood all of the servers were updated several months ago, what happened ?

Don't rush into Win2003 dlrmartin, it isn't that "stable" yet from my experieince, wait till at least the first SP comes out as a good rule of thumb with any new MS OS.

You don't need 3a if you already have 3 Brad. Hence me wondering why you were applying this becuase I thought you already had SP3 on there.

ok, may be 8/27/2003 be a new SP3a revision, but SP3a is from 5/20/2003... see: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/2000/sp3.asp

Besides, slammer virus is in the road from January, before sp3a. Ms has security patch for slammer since...
see: www.microsoft.com/sql/slammer

BTW, dont worry now about. But try to keep servers up to date.
