Link to control gives error

Hello,

The link to the control panel that will be supplied to clients gives an error first then lets you login. The link is

http://cp.datamatrixit.com:8080 It gives me "Control Panel Error" "You have entered invalid control panel location....."

Is there some setting I need to change to stop this from happening. It seems to work fine if I use http://r38395.res.hsphere.cc:8080

Although that does work, clients have been given the first link and it's causing some problems with people remembering that link

Thanks
bDoc

Login in to your main admin panel
click home
click change url
make sure this is setto

http://cp.datamatrixit.com:8080

you have to change it here for it to work.

FYI if you later secure your cp with ssl on cp.datamatrixit.com you will need to go back in and change it to
https://cp.datamatrixit.com:8443

Thank you, That worked perfectly. Also thanks for the FYI. I plan on securing the CP and also sharing the same certificate for other clients that need a shopping cart or something. I'm still reading and asking questions on the whole shared SSL thing. And I got some good information from another post that I made on sharing an SSL.

If you have any other info on that feel free to let me know.
