Unhappy Sign up form gives HTTP Error 400!

Hi there,

I've finally decided to make the jump and give you guys a try. I've tried clicking the Order Now link on the following page http://www.matrixreseller.com/plans/index.php#order for the Cypher plan, and I keep getting the same error:

<snip>
The page cannot be found

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Open the cp.hsphere.cc:8443 home page...

HTTP 400 - Bad Request
Internet Explorer
</snip>

Any suggestions?

I'm trying this from where I'm currently contracted. We're sitting inside a heavy firewall on our government network. I guess it's possible they have blocked port 8443 port. Is there a signup page on port 80, or 443?

No if you can't get to port 8443 for the signup the CP will also not work for you as it runs on the same port..

Just why is it H-Sphere doesn't even use a standard port for HTTPS ?

Not sure we might be able to change it but that might be a very bad idea now, that was the way psoft set it up about 1 1/2 ago..

The firewall I'm sitting behind permits traffic on ports 80, 8080, 443... but not 8443 unfortunately.

This might be a problem if I can't administer domains from here since I'll be here for the next 5 months, possibly longer.

I can get the Hsphere sign-in page which is on port 8080, but not the SSL port on 8443.

Is there a chance you can look into enabling control panel access on port 443 - standard SLL port?

I also do quite and bit of travelling a quite often have to use foreign ISP's through hotel accomodation, or use Internet cafes. I would definitely require access to the control panel while travelling. This may be a problem when I hit firewalls in hotels or cafes as well. Generally only ports 80, 443, 25 and 110 - if you're really lucky you might get access to 21 (but I haven't come across one yet!)

Angry

If you decide not to change ports to 80 and 443 - then you should change the text in HSphere on the sign-up welcome page from:

H-Sphere provides a simple, easy to use web interface that allows your technical staff to do maintenance work from any computer with an internet connection.

H-Sphere provides a simple, easy to use web interface that allows your technical staff to do maintenance work from any computer with an internet connection and access to non-standard ports 8080 and 8443!
