Yea I just got that my self.. Unix should not do this and not sure why yet.. But read the full message, you can also get this when you try and check your email over and over or at the same time that some one is sending you an email. The second one should not happen but the first one I know can unix or not.. We are looking in to the error, it seems to come and go..

Well for starters there were 10,000 spam messages sent to the server earlier. That has caused an issue due to the fact that they had to be deleted. Also, they are installing some spam filtering software to try and aid in the ever growing spam problem that we seem to be experiencing as of late. They are working on the problem as quickly as possible as this is affecting our mail also.

Please refrain from opening duplicate threads regarding this matter, as we would like to keep everything in one.

i was going to address this issue about a spam eliminator, but it looks like you guys did something to somewhat eliminate it. this morning's spam was taken from the regular 30 spams down to 4.

thank you...

i will leave my email clien open all day to check every min like i used to, it seems to be working real good today.

Why do you guys get so much spam users?
I have spam, I get way to much of it myself.
I would say if there is a way to watch a users send quary.
that if he sends a block of mail larger then like a few hundred then it should not allow him to send the message.
cause this spam issue is rediculous

Still getting those messages myself. I don't know about the rest of you, but I've lost 3 customers in the past two days. They just got fed up with the server outages and especially not being able to get their email and when they did, 6 hours later than when it was sent. These things have been going on for months now.

Angry

If this is all due to the anti-spam measures being implemented can I suggest removing the anti-spam tools.

In my opinion I'd rather be able to use Outlook with SPAM coming in than not use it at all.

My customers are now getting frustrated as it is two days in a row.

I think everyone needs to make up their mind. Do you want spam filtered or not?? Do you want the mail server back logged due to spammers sending spam to it?? It seems to change everyday (heck, moment to moment) and I personally can't keep up with it anymore.

Keep the spam filter and make those damned server stable again. Maybe you've not made your calculations right and you need more of those email servers?

Everyday at peak hours, we have the same problems. It really looks like your server cannot handle the load.

Personally - If the anti-spam measures bring the servers to a permamnent halt I'd rather deal with the spam on the client side. If theres an occasional 'crap-out' due to spam but it is resolved within a few minutes, (which is what matrix have been very good about), I'll take the 10 minute downtime any day.

All I really want is that my customers can use their email.

Cheers
