Cheers

David, there was at least one email about this, I am sorry you lost your email account, but why did you just loose an email account? If it is really DNS the website should be gone as well.
Also, as I understand it, unless you did the change (deleting from HSphere, and re-submitting), your DNS nameservers should not have changed. If you did the re-submit, I believe you are a bit late and the IPs are already recycled.

I will add
65.57.228.34
65.57.229.160

Now but this does not sound like a DNS issue.. All Cypher Plan and Morpheus Plan will be moved over to shared IP DNS here soon. Only the higher plans will keep ded. IPs for DNS.

Also note if we have not removed these IPs yet then this has nothing related to DNS IPs.

Yea we had some issues removing them we got about 30 removed and about 200 free right now so itsok right now we plan to remove more once H-Sphere gets things stable for us under rc4 as it does not go and restart bind for each IP we remove..

Tend to take a long time to load bind backup for 20,000 domains..

Thanks guys.

As soon as I found about the DNS switch I went into my CP and deleted and resubmitted as instructed. All my domains, ftp, email etc, all still seemed okay. Great! That was a few days, no a few weeks ago!

However, I have one domain, festivewine.co.th that has always had problems. About a 40% up time! Alan said he rebuilt the dns & some other stuff & that should fix it. But later said the IPs were totally wrong for this domain. This was VERY strange as other .co.th domains I have had not been effected.

It was only THEN I realised That I probably had to go and manually change the IPs or should have done BEFORE deleted and resubmitting in my CP ...duh!

After doing a bit of looking around the forums myself I realised I also had to go and change manually the DNS address on each domain. Easier said than done as not all my clients domains are with the same registrar and not all .coms

Also, I seem to get conflicting advise about changing the IP for the new DNS. Some say I just need to change or add new IP to my service domain and any domains using my DNS will automatically change - eventually. Another registrar says I must change each by hand, and another said they don't know want the **** I am talking about. So it has been a bit of a nightmare!

As of today, I have no email period. The .co.th domain I mentioned also has no email but the site is now back up and also has ftp.

A DNSReport lookup for my service domain shows the old IPs. A lookup for the .co.th showed the NEW ones last night but NO MAIL SERVERS at all and this morning the lookup has suddenly gone back to the OLD IPs. Confusing or what?

In a nut shell I would just like to know how to get at least my own email back and ideally my customer's - if I can keep him which would be a miracle! Suffice to say I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the other 60 or so domains don't all go down in the next few hours/days.

David, on the domain you gave, it does not have a valid MX record, which is odd, HShere should make this auto, and it is pointing to the right DNS servers are far as I can tell (same ones my domains point too). You might try manually making the MX records, or support might be able to help you, I don't know why they would just disappear. It seems that the MX is all that is missing/wrong with that domain though.

Thanks Stephen

That sounds like sense to me.

Actually I just went in and redid the DNS and IP change for this domain and the dnsreport lookup shows the change already! I also notice about the MX record.

I wondering if Alan in support can see this ? He is probably the one to help as he has been dealing with this domain for a few days/weeks.

I got no idea how to do the thing myself. And yes, as far as i know all my other domains in my account were done automatically - never had to change, edit or mess with any MX records.

thx
David

If you want to attempt this, go to the domain in question, go to the domain settings, then go to the edit button by "dns configuration" there should be a record built in that says:
theirdomain.com IN MX mail/1.yourservicedomain.com

And then there shoudl be a built in CNAME like this:
mail.theirdomain.com (TTL)86400 IN CNAME mail/1.yourservicedomain.com

David, it also looks like their are DNS issues on your(?) service domain, your service domain points to:
Domain servers in listed order:

Name Server: DNS0.THAIWEBPRO.COM
Name Server: DNS1.THAIWEBPRO.COM

While the other domain listed points to:
ns.thaiwebpro.com
and ns1.thaiwebpro.com
As far as i know those should both be pointing to the ns/ns1 entries as they are the ones replying, dns0 and dns1 dont seem to reply (If I am reading the dnsreport, and your whois info correctly)

Previously I always used DNS0 & DNS1

I could not get a straight answer from support regarding whether ns and ns1 and DN0 and DNS1 amounted to the same thing, so I added both for the service domain at my registrar!

All other domains under my account will also have DNS0 and DNS1 as opposed to ns and ns1, so are you saying i need to manually go and change each of these too to ns and ns1?

The only domain of yours that i know of did not claim to know anything about dns0 or dns1. But if ytou have any nameservers pointing to them, you are asking for trouble, I guess you MIGHT be able to set up a CNAME form dns0 to ns and dns1 to ns1 in your DNS controls as I described above, that could fix the issues.
