I'll second rheide on that, having nothing but NT17 on the page looks awfully amateurish. Can we at least get a refund for this months hosting?

rheide's unofficial update:

By moving it to a different server you would have to re-create the domain name and all the permissions with it. It would take time (possibly longer) than to just wait it out at this point. The process appears to be close to finish as some domains are loading now. I expect it to be back up and running soon.

Does anyone watching the post fall in the category of "some domains are loading now"?

I'm glad my client is one of the most understanding guys around, because if this was my site, and I was losing money ever hour it was down, I'd be coming unglued!!

Starting the migration

I am starting to move all my clients sites to a new server , im sorry, i just waiting my info to be ready so i can get some missing files, and cancel my account, by the way i think the least they can keep us informed, and listen to the suggestions.

Alrite, here's an update, this is going as fast as we're able to get it to go. Trust me if we could have this fixed as soon as it went down we'd have it done, realize that the less problems we have, the less we have to hear from you all thus there's no problems, thus less of a work load, thus more time to make updates and things better, this is not an issue of us just not doing anything because, trust me we are, we are getting tons of complaints and we understand your frustrations, just realize we are also very frustrated with the speed of this. Most of the server is up and running fine. We are close to being finished, hopefully we can finally have this finished soon. Also the more time we spend in the forum's the less time we have to work on other issues. Sorry if this sounds snotty or sarcastic but it's not ment to, we've all been here for a very long time working on nt17 and we can't leave until it's finished.

I would love to hear more about the following:

"most of the server is up and running fine" - does that mean 90% 20%?
"we are close to being finished" - how do you know that? I thought there was no way to know how far along you were

What are you guys physically doing? We are all going off of what other users have said - ie. you are running a script, etc. - which to me means you are just waiting on the script and its not like 10 people are pounding away on a keyboard.

I can't imagine that you posting every couple hours would really hurt anything - it might take you 30 seconds . That is 30 seconds less you would have to spend responding to my ticket as to what the hell is going on.

Hi Guys,

I understand that you are working hard and there must really be a major issue with this server for it to be down so long. We have been with Vortech for many years and I cannot remember a multiple day outage like this in the past.

I am lucky that we do not have many customers on this server, but I am concerned that future outages like this are a real business killer (for Vortech and their Resellers).

Is something being done to prevent multiple day outages like this from occuring in the future? It would be very helpful to understand what caused the problem and what is being done to prevent a multiple day outage from occuring in the future.

The server has actually been up for the past 3 days, we've had a few problem accounts that we are still working with getting back up and running.
