I would very much like to see you go through your logs and look for 72.32.184.92 and see what is happening with those connections that I am seeing refused.

You can send email to testemail@motiondoc.com. I will be checking it.

Thanks, Thats all I needed. Hmm it seems to have stopped it, we are working to fix it now. Thanks for the email it did work the last time I tested so thats a bit odd. I have Aaron checking it out now.

Sorry, my mistake, I didn't realize you would kill the A records completely. The MX record is right. It should work.

I'm getting tired (of this and in general)... I need to start drinking or something.

I will make sure this issue is fixed tonight some how that does not block windows 2000 or windows 2003 or exchange servers. Can't remove the block or no mail would go. So we are trying to fix it so the others work again but the bots don't ie win xp, me, 95 and 98.

This would not be something that would fall under an SLA due to the attack that we are trying to stop by doing this to mail7 and mail8.

Brad,

The problem is that while you may have tested it, you also completely blew off two people who, from their posts, it should have been clear actually knew what they were talking about. You treated us like idiots who didn't know what they were talking about, and Aaron even made a post that was obviously untrue to show us how "wrong" we were.

He said:

Quote:
Here is where is gets interesting. As I watch tcpdump with -X I notice that 99.9% of these blocked winboxes are flooders. Honestly, I have not seen one valid SMTP command in two days from a winbox on mail7.

Not one valid SMTP command in 2 days from a Windows "box"? (notice he didn't qualify this with a "non-server") That was practically insulting as well.

When we informed you the problem was still occuring and I provided logs to demonstate that fact, you should have retested. Not spent your time treating us like fools.

Should I need to mention that I'm a little upset right now?

That's putting it way too lightly, all day i've been opening tickets and being met with "change the smtp port to 2525" etc etc *other irrelevant things*, it was like nobody was even reading what i was saying
