I have still not received a response to my ticket.

I wouldn't say at this point that my overall opinion and confidence in VT has plummeted; I know better than that but my concern is growing.

I agree and to sum it all up, "the product offered works!" with the exception of the usual and expected glitches. However, Ballyhoo's statement is right on track as well. Vortech came on the scene in the summer of 2000, I activated my account October 28, 2002. The forums were bustling with activity. Competition for the highest post was about to become mainstream. Brad Pugh was responding to virtually every post. His wife was posting virtually every hour and the bickering and arguments were rampant. Checking the forums for new posts was tantamount to reading a novella each day as the number of posts were extremely high. There was real activity and human interaction. It was great!

Dramtic changes and improvements in service were also high. Discussions, votes, and actions were being taken to make VT the best hosting/reseller service available. Granted, we all agree that the product works and only so many changes and improvements can be made. Special offerings were also made to help bolster VT's company image by posting reviews and many other interactions were abound.

In the past 24 months, "The winds of change" have revealed themselves and all of this activity has dwindled down dramatically. VT's participation in the forums is negligible at best, phone calls to tech support often yield unhappy perssonel (at least from my experience). It feels as though the founders of Vortech are no longer excited about their business and it is becoming the mundane work routine that every average employee has with their average everyday jobs.

This concerns me as it should others. Allowing the mundane work routine to take over your business translates in to customers whom become numbers, assistance falling on deaf ears and another business going the way of every other average company where deep down inside the voice of its owners and employees is silently shouting "I'm tired of doing this".

This inner feeling becomes evident and infects the business in such way that it manifests itself in silence and lack of cohesion. Silence in the form of this highly touted upgrade now going unaswered for almost two weeks. Cohesion or lack thereof was a time not so long ago that VT bolstered 24/7 phone support which in turn evolved in to limited phone support based on a specific set of hours a portion of which calls are never answered and their main web site still reads "Real 24 Hour Live Support: 407-323-5634" which is not the case.

A company and its people whom are proud and happy to be in the business will make sure that everyone is on the same page, customers are in the know and all published aspects of the business will reflect the correct information; this too is not the case.

I'd like to think that this were not the case at all and that the disturbing feeling within that is telling me that my own business which was built upon the energy of VT's founders is not in jeaporady; the jeapordy of VT's internal human machine silently muttering "I'm tired of doing this".

But there is one thing that I am sure of and that is that there are no other Vortech's. No other company can even come close to the products, forums, price point, and spirit that made this company great. It just doesn't exist.

For the founders and employees of Vortech Hosting, I assure you that your unique place in the industry is not mundane. Don't let the everyday routine founder this great comapany.

Perhaps I'm over-reacting, misreading the signs but they are to embolden to ignore. I don't know, maybe everyone is just on vacation. :fingers crossed:

Still no update to my support ticket regarding these changes nor have we seen any follow up posts to this thread from the VT team.

We are now coming up on what I understand to be the longest time frame in which Brad "Admin" has not posted on his own forums. My concern is deepening and I fear that we are all sitting on a destabilized fault line.

While not efforting to be the schill in the group I can not deny that I have already started scouting for alternative hosting providers in case of extreme disaster and the plug is pulled at Vortech.

This silence from VT is an extremely bad sign and I fear the worst is headed our way. I recommend that others take precautionary measures to insure the continuation of their respective hosting businesses as well.

It is my hope that this is just a misunderstanding but preparedness is prudent.

It doesn't take long for panic to spread... those customers that were relaxing knowing that Vortech will take care of everything are now getting restless... a positive post here from someone at Vortech is really needed.

Is no one from Vortech reading their own forum?? It shouldn't have even got this far...

It's easy to open an account and the charges are reasonable, no need of any monthly activity and no monthly charges. Their new system is great and support is also good.

Just back after a 11 day leave... Collin Aaron was born here in Orlando, FL, 7lbs 4 oz ...

Many concerns here are valid, many are premature. Since I run their UNIX boxes I will leave the official PR to Brad. When I see him today I will let him know to chime in.

All the outstanding issues in our ticket system have either been fixed, or a notice sent that we are working on it. If you did not get a reply yet re-send the ticket.

Congratulations Aaron . . . that is fantastic. Hope "Mom" is doing well also.

As the father of a "Collin" myself . . . I think that is a great name choice.

With my first boy . . . we had him outnumbered.
With my second boy . . . we had to go to man-on-man coverage which is usually effective.
With my third boy . . . we had to switch to zone coverage. And as many football fans know, zone coverage can always leave some holes.
